We raise rabbit, chicken, beef, pork, veal, and lamb. We believe that by offering our animals the highest level of care, good quality feed, and allowing them to enjoy a stress-free environment, your meat will reflect this care by offering the best taste and texture.

Custom Feed Program

With our Custom Feed Program, having your animals raised by Rokeby Farms gives you greater participation in what goes into your meat. You can customize certain aspects of the feed process to fit your preferences. This delivers meat that is completely customized, from beginning to end, to suit your preferences. Things to Consider when Ordering

Because it takes varying amounts of time to raise each animal and to ensure you have a consistent, yearly supply of meat, we encourage you to order as far in advance as possible. Individual growing and processing times (included below) will help you in calculating the best time to order to meet your needs.

We are also pleased to carry and maintain a limited quantity of meats for pick-up or delivery on demand.

Rabbit

Rokeby Farms raises crossbred New Zealand White, California and Giant Chinchilla rabbits. They are raised in spacious, ventilated and heated facilities.

Rabbit meat is known to be an excellent source of protein and iron, as well as number of different minerals.

Veal

Rokeby Farms raises veal calves from local dairy farmers. While we focus on Jersey bull calves, we will custom raise calves of your choosing. They enjoy a diet of milk and grass, and are never given any growth hormones. Once they are off milk, they are pasture fed in spring, summer and fall and with a good-quality mixed hay in the winter months.

Beef

Our beef is Canadian bred and born cattle, raised and pastured in grass fields. They enjoy a diet consisting of grains, hay, and corn, and are never given any growth hormones. If you have a preference for a specific breed, such as Angus, Charolais, Herferd, Limousin or any other Ontario breed, let us know.  We will be pleased to raise the beef of your choice to your specified weight.

Lamb

Rokeby Farms raises North Country Cheviots ewes mainly crossed with Suffolk rams. Our lambs enjoy a well-balanced diet of mixed pasture grass and legumes. Aside from lambing and bad weather, our flock and their lambs are raised on pasture. We will raise the breed of your choice to your specified weight.
